Role Overview
A global media and digital content business based in Doha, Qatar is hiring a seasoned Digital Monetization Manager to shape and expand its digital revenue model. The role sits at a senior level and calls for a commercially focused specialist who can connect advertising technology, revenue operations, audience growth, and content workflows to deliver long-term income growth across a multi-platform environment.
Core Responsibilities
The position covers strategy, optimization, and cross-functional execution across digital monetization channels.
- Own the planning and daily management of revenue channels across websites, apps, video, OTT/CTV, social media, newsletters, and newer digital products.
- Spot fresh monetization opportunities and improve the performance of current income streams.
- Build and execute revenue growth plans that support audience, editorial, and commercial goals.
- Improve programmatic advertising results across SSPs, DSPs, header bidding setups, and ad exchange environments.
- Work to raise fill rate, CPM, viewability, and overall advertising yield.
- Maintain and strengthen partnerships with programmatic platforms and advertising technology vendors.
- Manage open auction, private marketplace, and direct programmatic revenue approaches.
- Broaden revenue sources through content licensing, affiliate deals, sponsorships, newsletters, and new digital offerings.
- Assess and roll out AI-based monetization ideas and modern audience acquisition approaches.
- Oversee the ad technology stack to keep performance strong and scalable.
- Support monetization for digital video across OTT, CTV, social video, podcasts, and other new distribution formats.
- Ensure practices remain aligned with privacy rules and standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Create executive-level reporting on revenue performance, audience monetization, yield improvements, and market developments.
- Use first-party audience data to improve direct sales potential and programmatic outcomes.
- Convert technical ad-tech and analytics findings into clear business recommendations for senior leaders.
- Collaborate closely with editorial, product, technology, audience development, commercial sales, and executive teams.
- Serve as the main link between revenue operations and content strategy so growth supports brand and audience priorities.
Experience and Expertise
- At least 12 years of experience in digital advertising, revenue operations, digital monetization, media technology, or commercial digital strategy.
- Background in a major media company, digital publisher, broadcaster, streaming platform, technology firm, or broader advertising ecosystem.
- Exposure to international markets and a solid understanding of digital advertising trends in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
- Strong command of Google Ad Manager, header bidding, Prebid, SSPs, DSPs, and related ad technologies.
- Good grasp of video ad formats, OTT/CTV monetization, and audience monetization methods.
- Hands-on experience with analytics, audience segmentation, and first-party data monetization initiatives.
- Commercially aware leader with strong analytical thinking.
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders across technical, commercial, and editorial functions.
- Strong presentation, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
- Experience driving cross-functional projects in fast-moving, high-growth settings.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is required.
