Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The Desktop Support Technician will be the first point of contact for technical support related to desktop systems, laptops, and connected peripherals. The role covers setup, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and printer support. The technician will also manage help desk tickets, record resolutions, escalate more complex problems when needed, and keep communication with internal users clear, timely, and professional.

The selected candidate will work closely with IT and security colleagues to support a dependable, secure, and efficient workplace environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should have practical experience supporting and maintaining desktop computers, including installation, configuration, and upgrades. Experience troubleshooting user issues in Windows or mixed operating system environments is important, along with the ability to set up printers, manage network printing, and fix print-related problems. Hands-on computer repair experience, including identifying hardware faults and replacing parts, is also required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, a patient support style, and the ability to juggle multiple requests in a busy setting are essential. Knowledge of basic cybersecurity and safe computing practices is advantageous. A post-secondary background in IT, computer science, or a related discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience — is expected. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
