Role Overview
The Deskside Support Technician - Level 2 will be responsible for supporting field operations across one or more locations while maintaining a high standard of technical service. This position acts as an escalation point, delivers VIP support, supports junior colleagues, and helps coordinate day-to-day on-site activities.
Technical Support and Operations
- Carry out IMAC services, including installs, moves, additions, and changes.
- Resolve hardware and software issues through break-fix support for end users.
- Prepare, assemble, and image devices using the standard client build (eCore).
- Support handhelds, rugged mobile devices, laptops, and scanners used on the manufacturing shop floor.
- Handle customer-requested special assignments and project work.
- Perform data gathering and retention tasks connected to migrations and eDiscovery.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- German language ability at C1-C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to work effectively with German-speaking teams and customers.
- Strong diagnostic thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Practical experience with MS Office and other standard business software.
- Strong customer service skills and confidence in dealing with stakeholders.
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience in deskside or field support roles.
- A+, MCP, MCSE, or a comparable certification is preferred.
Additional Information
