Design Architect

Role Overview

LRS Architects is looking for a Design Architect to join its Commercial + Housing studios. The position centers on strong conceptual thinking, schematic design, and high-quality architectural problem solving across projects of different scales. Key Responsibilities

• Help shape the overall design direction for commercial and housing assignments.
• Turn client objectives, project programs, and budget parameters into thoughtful architectural solutions.
• Work closely with the Design Manager, Principals, and other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take part in design presentations and explain ideas clearly to clients and other stakeholders.
• Advance design packages from early concept through construction documentation while staying aligned with company standards and project needs.
• Coordinate with consultants, public authorities, and internal team members to maintain technical quality and design intent.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 6–12+ years of relevant architectural experience, especially in commercial and/or housing work.
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar design tools.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates design-led work.
• Architecture licensure is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
