Role overview
This part-time deli position is based in Knocktopher, County Kilkenny. The role focuses on preparing fresh hot and cold deli items to a high standard while keeping customer satisfaction at the centre of everything you do.
What the role involves
- Prepare customer orders across all fresh food counters, including sandwiches, rolls, hot meals, and sliced meats, while following the store’s portioning guidelines.
- Cook, assemble, and present food items throughout the day.
- Maintain excellent visual standards across all fresh food displays at all times.
- Share product knowledge, recipe ideas, and personal suggestions with shoppers to encourage interest in quality food.
- Handle customer questions and requests promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
- Work in a way that reflects the company’s values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.
What the employer is looking for
- HACCP training is preferred, though not essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Customer service experience is beneficial.
