Data Analyst (Python, PL/SQL)

Overview

We are looking for a contract Data Analyst with strong Python and PL/SQL expertise to work remotely on a flexible schedule. The role is focused on turning large, complex datasets into insights that can guide business decisions. Compensation is set at $30 to $100 per hour, and the expected workload is 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Work through large volumes of data to identify trends, patterns, and practical insights that align with business goals.
• Create, tune, and support sophisticated PL/SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Use Python to automate tasks, clean datasets, and perform deeper statistical analysis.
• Prepare clear reports and visual dashboards that help stakeholders understand the findings.
• Partner with distributed teams to clarify data needs and deliver analytics-backed solutions.
• Maintain accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data across different sources and systems.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable analytical position.
• Strong hands-on ability with Python for analysis, scripting, and automation.
• Advanced PL/SQL knowledge for extracting, transforming, and handling data is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
