- Lead or support workshops, meetings, and learning activities that build data literacy and encourage better use of evidence at country and international levels.
- Strengthen the capabilities of programme staff, especially M&E Officers, in areas such as data analysis, dashboard use, data quality standards, and interpretation of results.
- Support data governance work by helping develop and apply standards, procedures, and best practices for managing data.
- Assist the MERLA Manager with monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, accountability, and other related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Monitoring & Evaluation, Economics, or a closely related discipline. A postgraduate diploma or master’s degree is considered an advantage.
- At least 3–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, data management, monitoring and evaluation, or a similar role, ideally in international development programmes or NGOs.
- Hands-on experience working with databases and web-based data collection/management tools, especially ActivityInfo or comparable platforms.
- Strong analytical capability with experience using statistical software and programming tools such as R, Python, SQL, or similar.
