Eni Trade & Biofuels is hiring a Cross Commodity Analyst in Singapore to support analysis across crude and oil products trading. The role sits within the trading function and contributes to work on trading strategies, market fundamentals, and price outlooks, along with other analysis needed by the business.

Key responsibilities

The analyst will help trading teams with research and commercial analysis, produce insights for the broader function, and support internal decision-making with market intelligence and presentations.

• Assist the crude and oil products trading teams with analytical work.
• Carry out analysis covering fundamentals, trading strategy, risk management, and price forecasting.
• Build economic assessments of trading opportunities using market tools, data feeds, and custom analytics solutions such as Refinitiv Eikon.
• Research target regions, client groups, or other focus areas as needed.
• Support the identification of new business development opportunities.
• Prepare presentation materials for both internal and external audiences.
• Share market updates and relevant information with the Singapore team, the London analytics group, and traders when required.

Requirements

Candidates should bring a strong academic background with a numerically focused discipline, along with experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably in an analytical role. The position also calls for solid market research ability, strong technical skills, and effective communication.

• Strong academic qualifications, ideally in a quantitative or numerate field.
• Substantial experience in oil and gas, preferably in an analytical position.
• Background in analytics and market research.
• Hands-on capability with Python, VBA, and Excel; exposure to AI-based analytics is an advantage.
• Strong strategic thinking, practical problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented approach.
• Innovative, proactive, and efficient working style.
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work in a structured and logical manner.
• Clear communicator who can build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, comfortable in global settings, and able to work independently.
• Fluent English is required.
