Crisis Response Lead

Riyadh Air (RX), headquartered in the Saudi Capital, is the new national airline that’s shaping the future of flying. It seeks to lead the aviation industry by transforming Saudi Arabia into a global aviation and trade hub – a digitally native airline that will connect the kingdom to more than 100 destinations.

This is a strategic role focused on developing and implementing crisis management and organizational resilience strategies to protect Riyadh Air's personnel, assets, and operations. The position is crucial for ensuring preparedness for disruptive events by planning, coordinating, and continuously improving response protocols and resilience frameworks.

Key responsibilities include developing and refining crisis response plans for rapid, structured actions during emergencies, minimizing disruption, and safeguarding assets and people. This involves ensuring timely decision-making, facilitating communication, and implementing post-incident corrective actions. The role also focuses on proactively embedding resilience frameworks to anticipate and mitigate complex risks, such as geopolitical shifts, cybersecurity threats, and climate-related disruptions.

Furthermore, the role entails conducting comprehensive resilience assessments to identify critical gaps and transform vulnerabilities into organizational strengths. It also involves collaborating with stakeholders to foster a culture of readiness through awareness and coaching, and designing/delivering crisis simulations and training programs to enhance preparedness across all organizational levels.

The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified with a minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation crisis management or emergency response planning. A proven background in risk management, emergency management, security, compliance, or operational resilience is essential for developing robust risk mitigation strategies.

Preference will be given to candidates holding certifications such as Airline Safety, Emergency Response Planning (ERP), Train-the-Trainer, and Auditor qualifications.
