Role overview
The Creative Coordinator will partner closely with the Creative Director and broader creative group to help shape ideas, develop presentations, and support the delivery of creative direction and concepts for a range of projects and proposals.
Core responsibilities
- Contribute to the early stages of the creative process and help turn ideas into workable concepts.
- Assist with styling, décor sourcing, aesthetic direction, and interior design-related tasks.
- Support gifting concepts, shareables, and surprise-and-delight moments.
- Work with print, fabrication materials, and production methods at a practical level.
- Help manage smaller budgets and keep sourcing, orders, shipments, returns, and receipts organized.
- Plan load-in and load-out logistics when needed.
- Reach out to vendors and help coordinate vendor relationships.
- Create and maintain mood boards and support sourcing activities.
- Take part in client meetings across different projects.
- Collaborate with the internal design team to develop and execute concepts.
- Help prepare creative decks and presentation materials.
What the role requires
The ideal person will have a background or strong interest in interior design and a good sense of how to build a visual look and feel that aligns with a client’s brand across digital, interior, and experiential event work. This person should be comfortable brainstorming with a team across several projects at once, while keeping both the smallest details and the overall story of an activation in view. Strong organizational skills, calmness under pressure, and the ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment are essential.
The team works primarily with Google Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, and Illustrator. Familiarity with floor plans and drafting will be an added advantage.
Work setup and engagement terms
This is a remote role, though there may be occasional visits to the Brooklyn, New York office and on-site participation for events or pre-production visits/builds. The role starts as a preliminary contract with the goal of growing into a full-time position. A dependable internet connection is required.
Application materials
Interested candidates should share a resume, a short cover letter, and a portfolio.
