Coolant Mill Operator – TCM

About the role

This position supports Tandem Cold Mill (TCM) operations by keeping the coolant systems dependable, efficient, and safe. The role suits someone who pays close attention to detail and can help maintain stable production quality on every shift.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee coolant system settings and operating conditions during each shift.
• Inspect and service the main coolant tanks, vacuum filters, pump pressure, oil levels, and Schneider filter tanks.
• Review filter paper condition and replace it whenever needed.
• Collect coolant samples and confirm the system is operating at the required efficiency.
• Carry out Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S activities across the TCM and Roll Shop sections.
• Spot quality issues, work out corrective actions, and recommend practical improvements.
• Work closely with the Main Operator and Shift Supervisor to support safe, smooth, and productive operations.
• Keep the coolant area clean, organized, and aligned with safety standards.
• Handle other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in rolling mill operations.
• Working knowledge of coolant systems, vacuum filters, and rolling mill processes.
• Understanding of TPM and 5S practices.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and good interpersonal skills.

Work conditions

The job is mostly plant-based, with about 80% on the shop floor and 20% in an office setting. The schedule follows shift rotations.
