Role overview

Joey's Seafood Restaurants is looking for a cook to join its team in Brandon, Manitoba. This is a full-time, on-site position, which means the work needs to be performed at the restaurant location and cannot be done remotely.

Language requirement

English is required for this role.

Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed.

Experience

Prior experience is considered an asset, but it is not mandatory.

Key duties

• Prepare full meals as well as individual menu items and dishes.
• Make suitable food for guests with allergies or food intolerances.
• Check kitchen and food-service areas to ensure they are in proper condition.
• Provide training to team members on food preparation, cooking methods, and safe food handling.
• Place orders for ingredients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Oversee kitchen staff and support workers.
• Track inventory and maintain records for food, equipment, and supplies.
• Keep the kitchen and workstations clean and organized.
• Take part in recruiting and hiring employees.
• Run and coordinate day-to-day kitchen operations.
