Role Overview
The Construction Project Manager will take ownership of projects from initiation to handover, ensuring smooth delivery across all phases. This is a hands-on site-based position in Dublin 12, requiring full-time presence and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Key Duties
- Lead projects through planning, procurement, execution, and final handover.
- Coordinate and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on a daily basis.
- Maintain control over programme timelines, project spend, and quality standards.
- Keep work progressing efficiently on site and address problems without delay.
- Handle working relationships with clients and design professionals.
- Take responsibility for health and safety oversight and ensure all requirements are met.
- Prepare 3-week lookahead plans, status reports, and regular progress updates.
- Contribute to commercial matters and tender preparation when needed.
Required Background
- Demonstrated leadership in construction project delivery, with strong overall project management ability.
- Experience managing construction activity, including site operations, contractors, and health and safety obligations.
- Capability in budgeting and cost management, including tracking expenditure and assisting with forecasting and reporting.
- Strong coordination skills covering scheduling, documentation, and communication across multiple stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Prior experience leading construction projects, ideally in education, healthcare, or residential environments.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with clients and project teams.
- Comfort using construction software and MS Office; exposure to project management software would be beneficial.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Dublin 12 and manage competing priorities effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of €65,000 to €85,000, based on experience.
- Four weeks of holiday each year.
