Construction Manager (Fit out)

Role Overview

This position is for a Construction Manager focused on interior fit-out projects in Dubai. The role is centered on leading site execution, coordinating approvals and technical submissions, managing subcontractors, and keeping projects aligned with schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Project Management

• Work with consultants and clients to launch the site meeting and arrange all pre-construction requirements, including building approvals, material procurement, drawings, design coordination, and sample sign-offs.
• Confirm project specifications and execution requirements together with the Site Engineer, Site Supervisor, workforce, and subcontractors so the work can be delivered successfully.
• Drive day-to-day site operations to complete the project within schedule, cost, and quality expectations while using resources efficiently.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants to support smooth and timely project delivery.
• Attend weekly site meetings, prepare action plans for the matters discussed, and document minutes of meeting.
• Build and maintain the project program, tracking every activity to ensure timely completion.
• Identify project delays or constraints early and take corrective action quickly to protect the timeline.

Operational and Pre-Sales Support

• Assist the sales team and clients with site-related inputs needed for quotations.
• Coordinate with the approvals team to obtain pre-approvals and final approvals from government authorities.
• Negotiate subcontractor quotations to support company profitability and submit technical materials and samples for authority approval.

Contracts Administration and Management

• Review and execute contract works while coordinating between consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Contribute feedback on tender requirements and help finalize project scope and specifications.
• Work with consultants on technical and contractual issues as they arise.

Site and Construction Management

• Oversee all construction activities and provide technical guidance on construction methodology and site coordination.
• Lead and support a team of engineers across multiple job scopes while resolving site issues and delays.
• Prepare and assess method statements and project-specific quality control plans.
• Verify that incoming materials match the required quantity and quality standards.
• Monitor daily site progress and respond promptly to any blockers affecting delivery.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in project and construction management within an interior fit-out company.
• Strong capabilities in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and risk management are essential.
