Role Overview
This is a full-time remote opportunity for a Community Manager supporting one of our clients. The role is centered on building and maintaining a positive, collaborative, and active online space, with a strong emphasis on customer support and community moderation across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.
The person in this role will help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, respond to member concerns, and shape engagement initiatives that keep the community lively and constructive.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee online communities to maintain a secure, respectful, and inclusive setting, while stepping in quickly to resolve issues and respond to questions.
- Handle customer complaints and queries with professionalism and empathy, using de-escalation techniques to ease tensions and preserve group harmony.
- Create and run engagement plans that encourage participation, while sharing community feedback and insights with internal teams.
- Work efficiently in a remote setup, managing several conversations and tasks at once and communicating clearly in both written and spoken form across channels.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure members receive a welcoming experience and the support they need as community needs evolve.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Background in customer support and online community moderation, with the ability to resolve issues and respond to complaints in a calm, empathetic, and professional way.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft clear and considerate messages for different channels.
- Proven conflict-resolution and de-escalation ability, along with a proactive, self-driven approach and strong energy in a fast-moving remote environment.
- Solid time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while working under pressure and adapting quickly to changing priorities.
- Sharp attention to detail, strong multitasking ability, and a willingness to go beyond the basics to support community members effectively.
