Role overview

This is a permanent full-time or fixed-term contract opportunity with the Community Impact Network (CIN), based in the HSE Midwest Region covering Limerick, Clare, and North Tipperary. CIN is a national initiative that works to improve how older people in Ireland are supported so they can remain connected, live well, and age with dignity in their communities.

The network connects community, voluntary, and statutory organisations to share effective practice, strengthen partnerships, and improve local services for older people. As a Community Impact Coordinator, you will play a key part in relationship-building, local collaboration, programme delivery, and community engagement. The role is field-based and includes travel within the community.

A full clean driving licence and access to a car are required.

Working pattern and contract details

Contract type: full time, permanent or fixed term. Hours: 35 hours per week across 5 days, with core hours from 9 am to 5 pm. Location: HSE Midwest Region, covering Limerick, Clare, and North Tipperary. Salary: €37,000.

Key responsibilities

  • Bring new member organisations into CIN and provide support to existing members across Ireland.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with members through engagement, training, and clear communication of network benefits.
  • Plan and run training sessions, workshops, and community programmes in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Lead CIN seminar series that help members improve knowledge, collaboration, visibility, and community impact for older people.
  • Work with local services, agencies, and community groups to expand supports for older people.
  • Set up and publicise networking events and member engagement activities.
  • Contribute to newsletters, member communications, KPI reporting, and programme updates.
  • Keep accurate records and update information in Salesforce and internal systems.
  • Take on other related projects and tasks as needed.

Essential experience and skills

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with community groups, statutory bodies, volunteers, and older people.
  • Background in delivering workshops, presentations, and training sessions online and face to face.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, including public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and networking.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to coordinate events, manage several priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Awareness of issues affecting older people, such as loneliness, digital exclusion, ageing in place, and community support needs.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, Zoom or Teams, Salesforce or similar CRM tools, and digital platforms for reporting and engagement.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation, monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and support evidence-based programme delivery.
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in training, community development, social care, health promotion, adult education, or a related area.
