Role overview

This Commercial Analyst opportunity is aimed at recent graduates or candidates who are about to graduate and are interested in building a career in a commercial, analytical environment.

What you will do

• Keep a detailed summary of positions for the relevant business unit.
• Prepare daily profitability reports so traders and brokers can see how market changes are affecting positions.
• Support the weekly Board summary by tracking movement in profit and loss.
• Make sure every deal is marked to market correctly.
• Track, calculate, and distribute daily price exposure figures to the Matrix.
• Maintain profit and loss reporting so the figures remain accurate at all times.
• Carry out ad hoc analysis for brokers, traders, marketers, and management as needed.

What they are looking for

The ideal candidate should hold a graduate degree with strong academic results, preferably in an analytical field. You should be comfortable working with Excel and have solid quantitative and analytical ability. A good grasp of accounting and valuation principles is also important. Knowledge of additional languages would be helpful. Experience with VBA, Python, and R/Matlab would be an added advantage.
