Role summary
This is a full-time, on-site Chief Operating Officer position in Chicago, IL. The COO will own the organization’s day-to-day operational leadership, shape and roll out process improvements, and make sure business strategy, product development, and customer success stay tightly connected. The role also includes working closely with executive leadership on expansion plans, overseeing budgets and resources, monitoring performance indicators, and strengthening a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational discipline in a growing healthcare technology company.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily company operations and keep cross-functional work running smoothly.
- Design, refine, and standardize processes across departments to improve efficiency.
- Set operational priorities, define KPIs, and translate strategy into execution plans.
- Partner with leadership on growth initiatives and overall business planning.
- Oversee budgets, financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Track operational metrics, analyze performance trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and reduce operational risks while maintaining strong execution standards.
- Support and guide teams to build a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Work with product and customer-facing teams to align operations with customer outcomes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings senior-level operations leadership, preferably in healthcare, health tech, or SaaS, along with a proven record of scaling teams and processes. Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, analytical ability, and stakeholder management are essential. An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related area is required, and an MBA or comparable advanced qualification is preferred.
