The Business Development and Partnerships groups are fast-moving, highly driven, and focused on opening up commercial opportunities that help Shopee strengthen its position as a leading e-commerce platform across Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Their mission is to broaden the range of products available to buyers while securing competitive pricing.

Role overview

This role centers on owning category performance and shaping the direction of the category through strategy, execution, and partnership development. You will work closely with cross-functional and regional stakeholders, lead a team, and keep a close eye on market trends as well as buyer and seller behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Own the profitability and financial performance of the assigned category.
• Create and implement category plans that support overall business goals.
• Build, guide, and develop the category team while tracking individual and team performance.
• Work in close coordination with local and regional partners and stakeholders.
• Monitor market movement, category developments, and shifts in seller and buyer behavior.
• Find, set up, and expand strategic partnerships within the local market.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• At least 2 years of experience with a leading strategy consulting firm.
• Proven ability to manage project workstreams independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience handling senior stakeholders.
• Well-developed analytical ability in both qualitative and quantitative work.
• Solid commercial judgment and business understanding.
• Comfort working in a fast-changing, high-pressure environment.
