Role summary
As a Caregiver at Summerset Mountain Village in Hurworth, Taranaki, you will be part of a team committed to providing a safe, healthy, and enjoyable living environment for residents. The position is hands-on and centred on supporting residents with personal care and everyday needs.
Key duties
- Serve meals and provide help during mealtimes.
- Support residents with personal hygiene tasks, including showering.
- Assist with individual care plan activities such as walks and exercises.
- Participate in resident activities, including puzzles, table tennis, and similar social engagement.
Fixed-term arrangement
This is a fixed-term position running from July 2026 through February 2027. The roster covers 60 to 80 hours per fortnight and follows a pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off, on PM shifts.

Qualifications and experience
Applicants should have experience in aged care or a similar setting and hold a Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4 certificate. A strong commitment to aged care, along with the ability to work the stated PM roster pattern, is required.
