Role Overview
This position is for a Career Advisor in an IT staffing and recruitment environment based in Ahmedabad. The role focuses on helping candidates shape their career direction, prepare stronger resumes, and move smoothly through the hiring process while coordinating with internal recruiters and client requirements.
Candidate Guidance
- Assess a candidate’s background, capabilities, and long-term career interests.
- Recommend relevant opportunities across IT domains such as Java, Python, QA, DevOps, and similar profiles.
- Support candidates with resume refinement and interview readiness.
- Advise on career choices by comparing individual strengths with current market demand.
Resume and Profile Management
- Review resumes and improve their overall quality and presentation.
- Format profiles so they are compatible with ATS screening tools.
- Emphasize the most relevant skills and experience for IT openings.
- Revise candidate profiles in line with client and role expectations.
Job Matching and Placement Support
- Identify suitable client openings for each candidate.
- Share matching job opportunities with applicants.
- Forward candidate profiles to recruiters and client teams.
- Track interview feedback and selection updates through completion.
Client Coordination
- Work closely with recruiters and account managers as part of the staffing team.
- Interpret client needs and job descriptions accurately.
- Confirm that shortlisted candidates align with what the client is seeking.
Interview Preparation
- Run mock interview practice sessions for candidates.
- Offer guidance for both technical and HR interview rounds.
- Help candidates strengthen their communication and presentation skills.
- Provide commonly asked interview questions along with suggested answers.
Communication and Follow-ups
- Keep regular contact with candidates throughout the hiring cycle.
- Provide timely updates on application progress and job status.
- Follow up on interview scheduling and feedback collection.
- Build and maintain positive long-term candidate relationships.
Database Management
- Maintain accurate candidate data in CRM or ATS systems.
- Track application stages and interview movement.
- Keep the hiring pipeline updated on a regular basis.
Target Achievement
- Meet daily and weekly goals for submissions and placements.
- Ensure candidate profiles are sent to clients on time.
- Contribute to the company’s overall hiring objectives.
Market Knowledge
- Stay current with trends in the IT industry.
- Understand which technologies and skill sets are most in demand.
- Suggest upskilling paths that can improve a candidate’s employability.
