Role Overview

This full-time onsite position is for an armed security guard based at 105 Koehler St, Grayville, IL 62844. The role is designed around flexibility, with shifts arranged according to your availability while still meeting client and operational needs.

What the Job Involves

You will deliver security coverage at one or more client sites during assigned shifts. Site locations, hours, and schedules may change depending on client requirements, staffing gaps, call-offs, and contract updates. While the company aims to work with preferred availability, the position requires a high degree of adaptability.

Key Duties

• Provide security coverage at assigned client locations and help protect people, property, and assets.
• Remain available for different shifts and site placements as operational needs change.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and coworkers to support a safe and respectful environment.
• Perform patrols and keep an eye on surveillance systems while following site-specific security procedures.
• Record incidents, breaches, and unusual activity accurately and report them promptly to the right contacts.
• Take on other responsibilities assigned by the leadership team.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving ability.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current firearms license or certification.
• Active PERC and FOID card.
• Own a firearm and a level 2 retention holster or better.
• Prior armed security or similar experience is preferred.
• Good situational awareness and careful attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and de-escalate tense situations.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and patrol for long periods.
• Ability to react quickly and appropriately in emergencies.

Schedule and Availability

Shifts are assigned at client sites and may be adjusted as business needs change. The role may also require extra coverage, including on-call or emergency shifts.
