CAD Drafter

Job overview

We are looking for an experienced CAD Drafter to support a growing millwork operation in Tempe, Arizona. The role focuses on producing precise drafting work for custom cabinetry, countertops, and related millwork projects using specialized CAD tools. Success in this position depends on a solid grasp of millwork design, careful attention to detail, and strong coordination with project and shop teams.

What you will do

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings with AutoCAD, Microvellum, and BiesseWorks.
• Build schematics and layout drawings for a range of millwork assignments while maintaining accuracy and compliance with industry expectations.
• Work closely with field measurers, the project manager, and the shop manager to clarify project goals and specifications.
• Prepare fabrication and installation shop drawings for cabinetry and countertops.
• Update drawings as needed after receiving input from team members and clients.
• Keep draft files and revision history well organized for easy future reference.
• Stay current on CAD-related tools, methods, and industry developments.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Microvellum, or BiesseWorks is preferred.
• Prior drafting experience in architectural millwork is preferred.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines without losing accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
• Experience or exposure to millwork or cabinetry is a plus, though not mandatory.

Schedule

The regular shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with weekends required as needed.
