Business Solutions & Data Analytics Intern

About the Role

This internship sits within the newly formed Business Solutions & Data Analytics team and is focused on helping the organization make better decisions through data. The position offers practical exposure to modern analytics tools and technologies such as Power BI, SQL, Python, and emerging AI applications.

The company is looking for someone who enjoys working with data, asks thoughtful questions, and is motivated to learn. The role is intended to give the intern meaningful experience with real business challenges and, for strong performers, may open the door to future opportunities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI that help business teams understand performance and trends.
• Write and improve SQL queries to pull, reshape, and analyze data from multiple systems.
• Use Python or similar tools to support analysis, automation, and data preparation work.
• Partner with teams across the business to understand their needs and turn them into data-driven solutions.
• Clean, check, and structure large datasets so the information remains accurate and reliable.
• Carry out exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and potential improvement areas.
• Support projects involving data modeling, reporting improvements, and process optimization.
• Help assess and apply new technologies, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Record processes, workflows, and solutions so knowledge can be shared across the team.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing, or have recently completed, a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
• Hands-on exposure to Python and SQL is required.
• Experience with data libraries such as pandas and NumPy, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail are essential.
• Comfort working with large datasets while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and apply them in a business setting, including AI-related tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly and explain data concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Self-driven, organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Compensation

The internship pays $24.00 to $25.00 per hour. Compensation may be adjusted at the company’s discretion.
