Role overview

The role focuses on specification-led business development for premium building materials, with a strong emphasis on architect and developer engagement. The selected professional will work closely with mapped key accounts to influence specifications, improve conversion, and support the sales team in closing business. Key responsibilities

  • Build favourable specifications through mapped key accounts.
  • Coordinate closely with the sales team to improve closure rates and conversion.
  • Drive business development and sales for premium building materials through architects, contractors, builders, civil engineers, and other influencers.
  • Identify new opportunities, grow the customer base, strengthen client relationships, and support expansion in revenue and market presence.
  • Develop corporate, institutional, and HNI client opportunities for customised offerings.
  • Manage mapped architect and developer accounts.
  • Secure BOQs from key accounts.
  • Generate leads from mapped key accounts.
  • Stay in regular contact with mapped developers, architects, and boutique builders.
  • Maintain an updated database of current, prospective, and ongoing projects and clients.
  • Deliver product presentations to key accounts.
  • Conduct key account meetings.
  • Prepare quotations using Window Maker software after the initial site survey.
  • Work with the sales team for final closure.
  • Collect key account testimonials.
  • Address customer complaints.
  • Submit daily visit reports.
  • Work towards achievement of sales conversion targets.
