Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Liverpool for a Business Development Executive. The main focus is to discover and qualify new commercial opportunities, run outbound prospecting activity, and create strong leads for B2B technology clients. The role involves researching target markets, reaching prospects by phone, email, and social channels, and arranging qualified meetings for client sales teams. You will also keep CRM data up to date, work alongside Account Managers and SDR teams, and support campaign planning and performance tracking. A proactive mindset and a strong focus on results are essential for building a steady pipeline of opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new business opportunities within B2B technology markets.
- Carry out outbound prospecting through calls, email outreach, and social platforms.
- Research target accounts, industries, and market segments to improve lead quality.
- Book qualified meetings for client sales teams and support pipeline creation.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records in CRM and sales engagement tools.
- Work closely with Account Managers and SDR colleagues to align outreach with client goals.
- Contribute to campaign planning, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Consistently pursue targets in a fast-paced, international team environment.
Requirements
- Strong background in new business development and lead generation, particularly in B2B sales.
- Good commercial understanding and business acumen, ideally within the technology sector.
- Excellent communication skills, including confident phone manner, clear writing, and active listening.
- Experience supporting account teams or working in account management contexts.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets in an outbound sales or SDR role.
- Comfort using CRM platforms and sales engagement tools, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in a collaborative, multicultural, and high-energy environment.
- Experience in B2B tech, SaaS, or agency-led demand generation is a plus.
- Background in business, marketing, or a related discipline is beneficial.
