Role Overview
This is a remote opportunity with a confidential, fast-growing startup seeking a sharp and inquisitive Business Analytics Intern. The role offers practical exposure to turning raw data into business insights, creating dashboards, and supporting decisions in a high-impact startup setting.
What You’ll Do
- Gather data from multiple sources, then clean and organize both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Carry out exploratory data analysis to surface meaningful trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and update dashboards and reports that help teams track business performance.
- Use SQL to pull, filter, and transform data efficiently.
- Support the definition and monitoring of KPIs and other business metrics.
- Work alongside product, marketing, and business stakeholders.
- Summarize findings in a way that is clear, practical, and easy to act on.
What We’re Looking For
- Current student or recent graduate in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Good command of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Basic familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, or comparable tools.
- Exposure to data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on work with real datasets or analytics-driven projects.
- Understanding of business KPIs and performance monitoring.
- Some exposure to A/B testing or statistical methods.
- Comfort working in startup or other fast-moving environments.
