Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Business Analyst who can connect business teams with technical delivery groups. This role involves understanding business needs, analyzing workflows, documenting requirements, and helping deliver technology-based solutions that support company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and record business and functional requirements from relevant stakeholders.
• Partner with product owners, developers, QA specialists, and business users to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
• Convert business needs into functional documentation, user stories, and process diagrams.
• Carry out gap analysis, impact assessment, and feasibility reviews.
• Support user acceptance testing by defining test scenarios, coordinating testing efforts, and checking results.
• Lead workshops, meetings, and requirement walkthroughs with stakeholders.
• Maintain requirements traceability across the full project lifecycle.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts and suggest data-backed solutions.
• Create reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation for management and project teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline, along with prior experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or technology-led setting. A strong grasp of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall delivery models is important, as is familiarity with requirement elicitation methods such as interviews, workshops, and document reviews. Candidates should also be comfortable using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, SQL, and Excel, or equivalent applications. Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with distributed, cross-functional, or global teams.
• Exposure to industries or platforms such as Banking, Healthcare, E-commerce, SaaS, or ERP.
• Working knowledge of data analysis, reporting solutions, or APIs.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are beneficial.

Additional Information

This is a full-time remote position based in Canada. The expected experience range is 6 to 8 years.
