Role Overview
Qatar Airways is hiring experienced Type Rated First Officers for Boeing aircraft, specifically the B747, B777, and B787, based in Qatar. The airline describes itself as one of the fastest-expanding carriers in the world, operating a modern fleet and serving more than 150 destinations globally.
Experience and Type Rating Requirements
- At least 1,000 total flying hours are required, including experience on multi-crew, multi-engine, and commercial airline operations, with jet time on aircraft that have a maximum takeoff weight of 30,000 kg or more.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 500 hours on one or more of the following aircraft types: B787, B777, B767, B757, B747-400 (including 400F, -8, and -8F variants), or B737NG/MAX.
- The most recent flight on one of the listed aircraft types must have taken place within the last 12 months.
Licensing and Medical Requirements
- An active ICAO ATPL or Frozen ATPL is required.
- The applicant must hold a current instrument rating valid on one of the specified aircraft types.
- A Class 1 Medical Certificate issued by the same authority is mandatory and must remain valid for at least 2 months after the start date if the candidate is selected.
- For Frozen ATPL holders, valid ATPL theoretical knowledge results or certification must be available.
Language Requirement
- English language proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or above is required.
