About the Role
This opportunity is with Mercor, a company that matches highly skilled creative and technical professionals with prominent AI research organizations. Position
You will work as a Biology / Environmental Science Evaluator, reviewing AI-generated outputs and helping improve their quality for research use.
Compensation
The pay range for this contract role is $80 to $120 per hour.
Location
This is a fully remote position.
What You’ll Do
- Assess AI-created materials using domain-specific quality standards.
- Spot issues in accuracy, visual presentation, and overall polish across documents, spreadsheets, and presentation decks.
- Write precise, organized feedback that helps improve model outputs.
- Partner with AI research teams to strengthen training data quality and system performance.
- Operate independently and on an asynchronous schedule while meeting deadlines and contributing to model improvement.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in biology or environmental science.
- Strong command of English, either native-level or professional fluency.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with particular strength in Slides.
- A master’s degree or higher is preferred, ideally from a well-regarded institution.
