About the Team

The Corporate BIM Technologies Group is expanding and is looking for a BIM Coordinator to support its Kingston, Jamaica office.

Role Overview

In this position, you will help coordinate BIM and CAD workflows across project teams, support model management, and strengthen digital delivery standards across disciplines. The role focuses on reducing coordination issues, improving project efficiency, and supporting the use of design technology across the wider organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use standard coordination tools and internal procedures to perform detailed clash checks and guided model reviews, with the goal of identifying and closing issues early.
  • Work with multiple disciplines to resolve coordination conflicts, monitor outstanding items, and ensure clashes are fully addressed.
  • Set up, maintain, and regularly refresh CAD Xref systems so that background files remain aligned for all design teams involved.
  • Collaborate with project staff to define the right digital workflow and project-specific deliverables.
  • Oversee project models and CAD backgrounds used in coordination activities.
  • Support designers by using a range of technical tools and design platforms.
  • Apply advanced virtual design methods to help improve productivity and project delivery.
  • Assist teams in understanding deliverables and promote stronger digital capability and technology use across offices.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or a CSEC/CAPE qualification is mandatory; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
  • At least 1 year of professional work experience is required.
  • Prior experience of 1+ years in BIM/VDC coordination and drafting is preferred.
  • Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other Autodesk tools will be considered a plus.
  • A drafting certificate is an added advantage.
  • Strong multitasking ability and the capacity to handle several projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas in a straightforward and accessible way.
  • Working knowledge of the AEC design environment.
