Overview
Pemberton Valley Supermarket is hiring a baker in Pemberton, British Columbia. This is a full-time position based entirely at the worksite; remote work is not available.
Language
English is required for this role.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience is needed.
Experience
Applicants should have 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant baking experience.
Responsibilities
- Mix and prepare doughs, batters, icings, and frostings for breads, pies, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, and other sweet items, following recipes or custom customer requests.
- Create pastry items for special events such as weddings and birthdays.
- Request or purchase the ingredients, equipment, and supplies needed for production.
- Bake prepared doughs and batters.
- Handle special customer orders from preparation through completion.
- Finish cakes and bakery items with frosting and decorative details.
- Check that finished products meet the store’s quality standards.
- Keep inventory organized and up to date.
