About Neural Frames
Neural Frames is an AI-powered music video generator that can transform a song into a fully produced video in just a few minutes. The company is self-funded, profitable, and expanding quickly, already operating at more than $5M ARR. Its goal is to become a defining company in the space and help millions of audio creators turn their work into visuals and share it online. As a small team without venture-backed pressure, the focus is on building something creators truly value.
Role overview
This position is centered on building and improving the backend systems that power the product’s video generation workflow. You will work on the orchestration layer, generation pipelines, queueing, reliability, and infrastructure that support production at scale. The role also involves close collaboration with the founder and tech lead on technical decisions for new product areas.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the core systems that convert songs into videos, including generation pipelines, model coordination, queue handling, and the infrastructure that keeps these workflows running reliably at scale.
- Develop Python backend services that coordinate multiple AI providers such as fal, BytePlus, OpenRouter, AWS, and others, while managing provider-specific behavior, failures, and pricing considerations.
- Work to reduce generation latency and improve reliability and cost efficiency across the platform, since small performance gains and cost savings multiply across a large volume of renders.
- Help build infrastructure for new product features in partnership with the founder and technical lead, contributing to architectural choices along the way.
- Set up monitoring and instrumentation for deployed systems so production behavior is visible and issues can be identified and resolved quickly.
- Contribute to the AI/ML layer by working on prompt design, model testing, fine-tuning workflows, and evaluating newly released models.
Requirements
- Prior experience shipping Python backend systems to production, including work with asynchronous workloads, queues, retries, and other practical reliability concerns.
- Comfort working with AI APIs and making informed trade-offs around cost, latency, failure handling, and model choice.
- A systems-oriented mindset with a tendency to investigate root causes instead of applying temporary fixes.
- Strong ownership and initiative, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and address them without waiting to be assigned a ticket.
- Added advantage if you have worked with video or audio processing tools such as ffmpeg or GStreamer, GPU orchestration, multi-provider AI infrastructure, or distributed systems at scale.
- Genuine enthusiasm for generative AI and its evolution, ideally demonstrated through side projects or similar work.
- Must be based in Berlin and able to work from the office at least four days per week.
Benefits
- VSOPs and profit sharing.
- Bi-weekly team lunches.
- Regular team events.
- Annual summer offsite.
- Learning and development support.
- Productivity tools.
- One-time headphone allowance.
- Deutschlandticket.
- €5,000 referral bonus.
