Architecture Advisor - KSA

About the Role

This position sits within SAP’s Customer Advisory organization and focuses on helping customers shape their enterprise architecture for cloud transformation. The role partners closely with sales teams and the partner ecosystem to build account strategy, connect business goals with the right solution landscape, and develop enterprise-level transformation roadmaps. The Architecture Advisor acts as a trusted guide for customers working toward a future-state SAP architecture.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute across the customer value journey by advising on architecture, supporting sales engagement, and translating strategy into solution direction.

• Review existing customer environments to identify opportunities for broader adoption, faster consumption, and expansion of the SAP footprint.
• Participate in customer engagements and sales cycles as part of the account team.
• Shape business and IT architecture directions so that SAP, the customer, and partners remain aligned.
• Serve as a connection point between the customer and SAP product development leadership.
• Help create demand through thought leadership and relevant architecture positioning.
• Study the customer’s business model, process landscape, and industry reference architecture needs.
• Assess current enterprise architecture and future-state requirements.
• Promote standardized cloud architecture approaches built on plug-and-play cloud solutions.
• Translate business capabilities into architecture and solution design.
• Confirm that business capability mapping is technically feasible within SAP solution architecture.
• Support definition of cloud transformation roadmaps with both business and application perspectives.
• Support cloud and hybrid transformation planning with a focus on standard cloud applications and technology.
• Keep the customer roadmap current with solution adoption and consumption progress.
• Adapt roadmap governance as customer needs and SAP solutions evolve.
• Expand solution usage by linking individual solutions to the wider SAP portfolio.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in architecture advisory, solution-focused roles, or comparable software and IT functions. Strong industry credibility, leadership capability, and a solid understanding of cloud-based enterprise models are important for success in this position.

• Background in IT architecture, enterprise architecture advisory, solution management, sales, presales, adoption/consumption, consulting, or business development with proven results over several years.
• Ability to represent SAP as a trusted advisor internally and in the market.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, hosted services, SaaS, PaaS, and cloud-based business networks.
• Established professional network that can support pipeline and revenue growth.
• Track record of performance in a relevant industry domain, where applicable.
• Experience leading initiatives and managing projects.
• Proven ability to deliver practical enterprise architecture outcomes for customers.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• MBA or equivalent qualification from an accredited university is preferred.
• TOGAF or SAPIEA-10 certification is an added advantage.
• Experience with EAM tools is beneficial.
• Saudi nationals are preferred in line with Saudization requirements.
