Applied Quantitative Analyst - AI Trainer

Role overview

This position is for an experienced Applied Quantitative Analyst who can assist in training AI systems. The work involves testing chatbot progress, checking how well the models reason, and solving mathematical problems to help raise model quality.

What the role involves

• Create a range of straightforward to advanced mathematics questions for AI chatbots.
• Review model responses for accuracy and overall performance.

Background expected

You should have strong mathematical reasoning skills. A Master’s or PhD that is current, in progress, or completed is preferred, though not mandatory. Relevant academic backgrounds include Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, among other related fields.

• Compensation starts at more than USD 40 per hour, with higher bonus rates available on some projects.

Payments are processed through PayPal. No fees or payments are ever requested from applicants. Any USD payments will be converted by PayPal if needed. Only candidates located in New Zealand will be considered. This is an independent contractor engagement.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open only to applicants based in New Zealand who have strong English fluency and advanced quantitative ability.

Qualifications

• Native-level or bilingual English communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong command of statistics, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, probability, and both inductive and deductive reasoning.
• Master’s or PhD study, in progress, or completion is preferred but not required.
