Role Overview
This opportunity is for a hands-on Technical Systems Specialist / Application Support professional based in Dublin South West. The package includes a salary of €48,000 to €58,000, plus a 10% bonus, and the role is required onsite four days each week. The employer also offers strong benefits.
The position suits someone who enjoys working beyond standard support tasks, digging into how business systems connect, investigating issues at a detailed level, and taking ownership of problems through to resolution. It is not a helpdesk position and it is also not a narrow development role.
Key Focus
You would be part of a small, collaborative IT function and work across the full ecosystem of business applications, data movement, and integrations. The work is varied, technical, and suited to someone who likes solving complex issues rather than performing repetitive support.
Responsibilities
- Support business applications, connected systems, and integrations across the wider technology landscape.
- Use SQL Server to investigate issues, run queries, and follow data as it moves between systems.
- Handle APIs, file-based transfers, and automated exchanges between platforms.
- Contribute to software initiatives from initial gap review through to deployment and go-live.
- Work closely with external suppliers, developers, and internal stakeholders.
- Step into different tasks as needed, reflecting the flexibility required in a small team.
Requirements
- Broad experience with systems and applications, with less emphasis on infrastructure work.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server.
- Comfort working with APIs, integrations, and automated data flows.
- PowerShell experience is a strong advantage.
- Experience supporting software projects across the full lifecycle.
- A practical, inquisitive, and self-motivated approach to problem-solving.
Additional Information
This role is based in Dublin South West and is onsite four days per week. The compensation package is €48,000 to €58,000 annually, along with a 10% bonus and attractive benefits. The role sits within a close-knit IT team where adaptability and ownership are important.
