Application Packaging Specialist

Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Application Packaging professional to work from Chennai or Kochi. This role is suited to someone who can manage the full packaging lifecycle and contribute strongly to deployment and support activities.

Experience and Core Focus

The position requires 4 to 6 years of relevant experience with strong hands-on exposure to application packaging. The selected professional should be comfortable handling customer requirements, licensing details, testing, and deployment-related operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage application packaging through the complete end-to-end lifecycle.
• Understand business/customer needs for applications, including licensing information.
• Perform requirement analysis and gather detailed inputs for packaging work.
• Carry out advanced quality validation, including environment-specific testing.
• Work with incident management processes and the ServiceNow platform.
• Use SCCM deployment tools effectively.
• Handle software patching for workstations and servers using SCCM and WSUS.
• Troubleshoot and maintain SCCM-based packaging and deployment setups.
• Create and manage automated jobs and reports as needed.
• Take ownership of lead responsibilities to ensure deliverables are completed on time.

Required Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of application packaging, SCCM, WSUS, testing practices, incident handling, and deployment support is essential for this role.

This is an on-site position based in Chennai or Kochi.
