Career Overseas Consultants Ltd. is hiring an Air Conditioner & Refrigerator Technician for a position based in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems while ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, and verify the operation of air conditioning and refrigeration units.
• Carry out scheduled preventive servicing as well as corrective repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Identify faults in electrical, mechanical, and control systems, then carry out the required repairs.
• Examine and service major components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, thermostats, and fan motors.
• Handle refrigerant charging, recovery, leak checks, and pressure testing.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and equipment manuals to support maintenance work.
• Track system performance and suggest improvements to raise efficiency.
• Replace worn-out or faulty parts when needed.
• Ensure all work follows safety rules and environmental requirements.
• Keep maintenance logs up to date and prepare service documentation.
• Attend urgent breakdown calls and perform troubleshooting on site.
• Work with supervisors and other maintenance staff to finish assigned tasks effectively.

Educational background

Applicants should have SSC, HSC, or a Diploma. A Technical Diploma, Trade Certificate, or Vocational Training in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology is also acceptable.

Experience

Candidates need 2 to 5 years of relevant experience. Prior exposure to HVAC or refrigeration maintenance is preferred. Experience in Training Institutes, Engineering Firms, Real Estate, or Developer businesses is mentioned as relevant.

Additional requirements

• HVAC Technician Certification is preferred.
• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade Certificate is preferred.
• Occupational Health & Safety Training Certificate is preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, parts, and controls.
• Hands-on ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Knowledge of refrigerants, recovery methods, and safe work practices.
• Ability to understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting maintenance timelines.
• Ability to work at heights, in enclosed spaces, and in different weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Must be physically fit for maintenance and repair duties.
