Stock Market Trading (Backtesting and Research) Internship

About the internship

This remote internship focuses on research and backtesting for stock market trading strategies. You will work on indicator-driven logic similar to TradingView-style setups, test ideas on historical data, and turn results into clear, reproducible outputs.

What you will do

• Translate indicator-based trading logic into working strategy code using historical market data.
• Create backtesting scripts and evaluate outcomes such as total return, drawdown, and win rate.
• Record the assumptions used, the risk controls applied, and the scenarios where the strategy may fail.
• Generate structured JSON summaries and, where useful, simple charts.
• Work through GitHub and keep the project documentation organized and reproducible with a clear README.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to candidates who can work from home, are able to begin between 1st Jul'26 and 5th Aug'26, and can commit to the full 6-month duration. Applicants should have relevant skills and a genuine interest in the domain.

Other requirements

• Basic understanding of trading and interest in systematic strategy research.
• A project link related to research or backtesting is preferred.
• Comfort with Python and the ability to explain analysis and results clearly.

Stipend

You will receive a monthly stipend of INR 10,000 to INR 20,000.
