About the internship

This work-from-home internship is for an online school facilitator and coordinator who will support Montessori-style learning for young students. The role combines live teaching, academic coordination, parent engagement, and support for curriculum execution. The internship runs for 6 months and starts immediately.

Key responsibilities

  • Take live online classes using Montessori teaching methods.
  • Support learning through hands-on tasks, exploration, and guided discovery.
  • Blend Montessori materials, learning kits, and home-based activities into lesson delivery.
  • Teach core areas such as phonics, mathematics, EVS, and life skills.
  • Build independence, curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation in learners.
  • Maintain a calm, engaging, and interactive virtual classroom atmosphere.
  • Help ensure the academic calendar and lesson plans are implemented smoothly.
  • Track student progress and maintain observation-based learning records.
  • Work with facilitators to keep curriculum delivery consistent.
  • Assist with assessment planning and review student learning results.
  • Use Montessori teaching aids and learning resources effectively.
  • Keep parents informed about student progress and share constructive feedback.
  • Run parent orientation sessions and follow-up discussions.
  • Advise parents on Montessori practices and how to support learning at home.
  • Take part in teacher training and curriculum development conversations.
  • Mentor facilitators when needed and share effective teaching practices.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in teaching methods and academic coordination.

Required qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Certification in Montessori or Early Childhood Education.
  • Prior experience teaching primary-level or Montessori learners.
  • Strong grasp of Montessori philosophy and child development.
  • Good communication, teaching, and classroom management abilities.
  • Comfort using online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or an LMS.
  • Ability to keep young learners engaged through interactive, activity-based methods.
  • Good organizational skills, coordination ability, and parent communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in working with children and encouraging independent learning.
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and support curriculum development.

Perks and compensation
