Game Animator Internship (Work From Home)

About the internship

This remote internship is for a game animator joining a small, fast-moving team building its first game together. The company works with a mix of experienced and newer developers spread across India and sometimes outside the country, and values curiosity, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving over rigid processes.

What you’ll do

• Create character animation sequences using standard animation software such as Maya, Blender, or similar tools.
• Pick up and work within the studio’s custom pipeline built around Reallusion software, including Character Creator, iClone, and ActorCore Library.
• Set up and record animated scenes based on scripts and feedback from the team.
• Assist with bringing animation clips and sequences into Unreal Engine 5 game scenes alongside the development team.

Who can apply

Applications are open only to candidates who can work from home, can begin between 15 June 2026 and 20 July 2026, and are available for the full 3-month internship. Applicants should also have relevant skills and a genuine interest in the field.

Other requirements

• Current students or learners pursuing animation, game development, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in video games, especially horror, story-driven, or cinematic experiences.
• Some familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 is expected; experience with iClone or Character Creator 4 is an advantage.
• Prior coursework or self-initiated projects will be valued, even if the portfolio is not highly polished.

Compensation

The internship pays a total of INR 20,000 per month, made up of a fixed component of INR 15,000 per month and an additional incentive component of INR 5,000 per month.
