Internship Overview
This internship opportunity is with a pioneering startup focused on technical industrial inspection services. The company aims to transform the industrial automation sector by integrating cutting-edge computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies. Their goal is to upgrade conventional industrial automation machines into intelligent, efficient smart manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and upkeep schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models in KiCad component libraries.
- Support PCB layout development for compact industrial camera and embedded boards, involving component placement, routing, and stackup planning under supervision.
- Perform ERC/DRC checks and generate manufacturing deliverables, including Gerber files, drill files, BOMs, and pick-and-place files, emphasizing design for manufacturability.
- Manage procurement of components and oversee BOM coordination across various suppliers.
- Assist in board bring-up activities such as preparing test documentation, tracking rework, and documenting design revisions.
Candidate Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Possess experience in designing at least one PCB end-to-end, including college or hobby projects.
- Familiarity with KiCad is preferred; knowledge of Altium or OrCAD with eagerness to transition is acceptable.
- Additional advantage for candidates with exposure to high-speed interfaces such as MIPI, USB, LVDS, multi-layer (4+ layer) PCBs, or a personal project portfolio showcasing PCB designs.
- Availability for remote work and commitment of 6 months duration starting between July 10, 2026 and August 14, 2026.
Compensation and Benefits
The stipend ranges from INR 10,000 to 15,000 per month. Perks include a certificate of internship completion, a letter of recommendation, and flexible working hours.
