Role overview

Copart is hiring a Yard Operative for its Wolverhampton site (WV5 8AW). This is a Monday to Friday position with no bank holiday working, offering a healthier balance between work and personal time.

The role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions and has a genuine interest in vehicles and car handling. As part of a busy operations team, you will help keep vehicle movements and storage running smoothly while supporting customer requests and service deadlines.

Key duties

You will be responsible for responding quickly and professionally to customer needs, completing service orders within agreed timeframes, and making sure vehicles are stored and maintained according to both customer expectations and company standards. The job also involves using a handheld device to capture vehicle images.

Skills and experience needed

The position requires a full driving licence, hands-on experience with plant equipment and forklift loaders/shovels, and a strong customer service mindset. You should communicate clearly in both writing and speech, pay close attention to detail, and feel comfortable using handheld devices and basic IT tools. The role also calls for the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment and a willingness to work outside in all weather.

Pay and benefits

The salary for this role is £27,976 per year. In addition, the company offers 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, along with one extra day for a personal special occasion.
