Role overview
Marina Bay Sands is looking for a Workforce Scheduler to support resort operations through effective roster planning, labour analytics, and scheduling system expertise. This role contributes to productivity improvements, fair work rule application, and better alignment between staffing plans and business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Manage centralized roster planning for team members across Resort Operations departments.
- Design and apply staffing approaches that improve labour productivity while staying aligned with employee work rules.
- Review labour plans against changing business demands and spot opportunities to redeploy staff across functions.
- Study transactional and operational data from different systems and sources to turn it into practical insights that support efficiency.
- Work closely with operations teams to review labour trends on an ongoing basis.
- Assess the impact of MOM regulations and compare them with internal work rules for employees across the organization.
- Act as the primary expert for scheduling tools, including Virtual Roster and Time Manager.
- Support the rollout of new workflows, dashboards, and project initiatives.
- Handle additional duties as needed to support the wider goals of the position.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Engineering, Analytics, or Supply Chain is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in workforce scheduling and analytics, from any industry.
- Experience with scheduling systems such as Virtual Roster will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, including comfort with formulas and transforming data across multiple sources.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, discreet, team-oriented, and able to solve problems effectively.
- Capable of managing priorities and delivering work within tight deadlines.
- Able to clearly explain workforce planning strategies and direction to different audiences.
