The opportunity
This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration and consistent handling of the organization’s warranty programs. The role also involves keeping warranty details current and maintaining precise documentation and records.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and submit warranty claims, including deciding whether parts and/or labour should be treated as non-warranty, fully warrantable, or partly warrantable.
- Work closely with supplier contacts and support teams to confirm whether repairs qualify for warranty coverage.
- Keep warranty parts documentation up to date, follow supplier rules for storing used parts, and return warranty items to the correct suppliers.
- Monitor warranty claim activity and follow up on outstanding items to help ensure overdue claims are paid and resolved.
- Maintain accurate branch-level records and accounting for warranty programs by reviewing claims and submissions.
- Complete claims promptly while following company policies and internal standards.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to prepare and submit the documents needed for warranty processing.
- Use sound judgment and product knowledge to make timely decisions on warranty eligibility.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has experience supporting service or warranty administration in an industrial environment, along with solid attention to detail and strong communication skills. Familiarity with heavy equipment or the truck and coach sector is an advantage.

Education
High school completion is required. A college diploma is considered an asset.
Experience
Applicants should have 2 to 3 years of experience in a service or warranty administration role within an industrial setting.
Technical knowledge
A working understanding of warranty claim processing is needed, along with exposure to heavy equipment and/or the truck and coach industries. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is expected.
