- Make sure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures, customer expectations, and operational targets.
- Track the flow of work during the day and reprioritise tasks when needed so urgent and time-sensitive orders are handled properly.
- Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor to check progress, reinforce standards, and spot issues early.
- Coordinate smoothly across picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and other linked warehouse activities.
- Ensure customer orders are picked accurately and within agreed service levels and cut-off times.
- Review picking output, productivity, and accuracy, and take action where standards are not being met.
- Make sure packing work meets required standards so goods are secure, correctly labelled, and presented properly for delivery.
- Supervise dispatch and shipping to ensure orders are processed correctly and handed over to carriers or transport providers on time.
- Investigate and resolve issues such as short picks, missing items, incorrect quantities, damage, or delayed dispatch.

- Assign work based on priorities, workload, skills, and available resource.
- Encourage the team to meet productivity, accuracy, safety, and service targets.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, output, and overall performance, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Handle performance problems, behaviour issues, and conflict in a fair, professional, and timely way.

- Support stock control by ensuring goods are stored correctly, locations are kept up to date, and stock movements are recorded accurately.
- Monitor and investigate stock differences, damaged goods, missing items, and picking errors.
- Assist with cycle counts, stock audits, stock takes, and inventory accuracy checks.
- Handle stock in ways that reduce damage, loss, and unnecessary movement.
- Support management of obsolete, slow-moving, damaged, or out-of-date stock where needed.

- Ensure orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
- Help maintain strong service levels by reducing picking mistakes, dispatch delays, missed shipments, and stock-related problems.
