Warehouse Order Selector

Role overview

Sysco is looking to bring on warehouse order selectors right away in Kahului, Hawaii. This position plays an important part in the local foodservice distribution network by preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently for delivery.

What you will do

• Select and stage items for foodservice customers within the warehouse.
• Use powered warehouse equipment such as an electric pallet jack and, where needed, a forklift.
• Arrange and stack products on pallets so orders are built correctly and safely.
• Take on additional duties as needed to support warehouse operations.

Work environment

This is a hands-on role in a warehouse environment with changing temperatures and humidity levels depending on the product area. Work may take place in dry, refrigerated, or frozen sections, and conditions can vary with local weather and product type.

Minimum qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• Relevant work experience of 0 to 1 year is required.
• The job involves frequently lifting items weighing 10 to 75 pounds, and at times up to 100 pounds.
• You should be able to reach as high as 72 inches on a regular basis.
• Frequent bending and twisting are part of the role while operating warehouse equipment and retrieving items from lower shelves.
• Applicants must be able to work in very cold conditions, including cooler and freezer areas.
• The role requires being on your feet for 10 to 12 hours each day.

Preferred background

• Prior experience using an electric pallet jack or forklift is preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse, military, or similarly active role is an advantage.
• Previous selection experience is preferred.
• A stable work history of 2 years or more is preferred.
