Role overview
This permanent position is focused on delivering safe, reliable cleaning support for Dubai Metro’s track and power rail systems, along with servicing the specialised equipment used for the work.
Core duties
- Perform cleaning along the track and power rail network, including tracks, side viaduct areas, depots, power rail sections, and other related locations as needed.
- Complete routine preventive checks on cleaning tools and machines, such as industrial vacuums, high-pressure washers, and other specialist equipment.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to incidents on the track, viaduct, or power rail that need specialist cleaning support.
- Work in line with operating procedures and maintenance instructions to meet required standards.
- Keep clear and accurate records related to cleaning activity across track, viaduct, and power rail areas.
- Make sure maintenance tools and equipment remain in proper working condition.
- Support the Track Team Leader and technical support colleagues in choosing suitable cleaning approaches, including cleaning and restoration methods.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Track Team Leader.
Skills and experience needed
The role requires the ability to draft simple reports and basic drawings when needed, and to work independently with limited supervision. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience in building and grounds cleaning, particularly in sandy conditions. Familiarity with structured work instructions is important, and experience handling motorised equipment, industrial vacuums, high-pressure cleaning machines, and other specialist cleaning tools is preferred.
Educational requirement
Applicants must have completed secondary education (high school) plus a vocational certificate or an equivalent qualification.
