Role Summary
This position is responsible for steering fixed-bid projects from initiation through delivery, while keeping scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder expectations under control. The role calls for close collaboration with internal teams and clients, along with strong governance, risk handling, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete delivery lifecycle of fixed-bid engagements.
- Set the project scope, timelines, deliverables, and success measures.
- Plan budgets, track costs, and safeguard project profitability.
- Maintain tight control over scope and handle change requests effectively.
- Spot risks early and put practical mitigation plans in place.
- Work closely with development, QA, business, and finance teams.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.
- Track performance closely to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Run governance reviews, progress reporting, and leadership updates.
- Manage escalations and drive quick resolution of issues.
- Coach project teams and support them in delivering strong outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of project management experience, ideally within IT or services.
- Practical experience in fixed-cost or fixed-bid delivery models.
- Proven capability in managing project finances, margins, and cost discipline.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall approaches.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Solid ability in risk management and structured problem-solving.
- Comfort with tools such as Jira, MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
