About Paradigm Inputs
Paradigm Inputs is a crop-input marketplace serving farmers in Western Canada. The company works directly with international manufacturers to source certified premium generic crop-protection products and distributes them through independent local agronomic brokers on its own software platform, including AgAssistant, an embedded layer for agronomic intelligence. Its goal is to enable trusted rural operators to build and run their own crop-input businesses on infrastructure designed for real agricultural operations. Paradigm Inputs is based in Calgary, Alberta and supports growers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
About the role
In this position, you will take ownership of the day-to-day logistics and trade-compliance work that ensures crop-protection products move from overseas suppliers to brokers and growers across the prairies smoothly, on schedule, and without unexpected issues. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will coordinate freight and carriers, manage customs and import paperwork, handle important supply and partner relationships, and help maintain a reliable delivery experience as the business scales. This role suits someone who enjoys responsibility and takes satisfaction in getting complex logistics right.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and oversee inbound and outbound freight across Western Canada, including shipment booking, tracking, carrier coordination, and early resolution of delivery problems before they affect customers.
- Handle customs clearance and import documentation, working with customs brokers and managing bills of lading, purchase-order-to-delivery tracking, and compliance requirements for regulated crop-protection goods.
- Support day-to-day administration of supply and partner programs, including coordination, documentation, and reporting.
- Take charge of the delivery experience by sharing accurate, proactive shipment updates with brokers and growers and by improving fulfillment processes as order volumes increase.
- Assist with supplier coordination and new logistics projects, including documentation with international suppliers and the setup of new warehousing and order-consolidation workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or customs/import coordination.
- Solid understanding of import and trade compliance, including customs documentation and the process for bringing regulated goods into Canada.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and carriers while working under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organized work habits, and comfort using systems such as spreadsheets, ERP tools, or accounting software.
- Clear, steady, and relationship-focused communication that helps partners stay informed and confident.
Nice to have
- Background in agricultural inputs, crop protection, chemicals, or other regulated bulk products.
- Knowledge of prairie trucking routes and agricultural logistics in Western Canada.
- Experience importing regulated products into Canada, such as PMRA-registered goods or similar items.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or a marketplace/ERP platform.
Why this role matters
Fulfillment is central to the company’s promise to farmers. As the business grows quickly, this role has a direct impact on customer experience and allows operations leadership to focus more on expansion, making it one of the most influential hires on the team.
Location and work model
This position is based in Western Canada and offers a flexible work arrangement. It is open to hybrid and remote candidates located in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The head office is in Calgary, Alberta.

- Extended health and dental coverage
- Three weeks of paid vacation
- Support for professional development
- An employee stock option plan offering meaningful ownership in a fast-growing early-stage company
